KMB IS BACK & Friday Favorites: August 1, 2025

Someone pinch me! I am so darn excited to be back on KMB. I have missed this space and you all so very much!

If anyone is wondering, I took the month of July to be completely offline. I locked up facebook, instagram, tiktok, and even blogging. I needed to relax, refresh, and slow down. 

I’ll share more about my time offline later, but today, I want to just dive right in… It’s Friday Favorites! I have so many favorites from the month of July to share with y’all! 

We are still listening to mostly Forrest Frank, nothing has changed there. My personal favorite Forrest Frank song right now is In The Room.

We have also been listening to the soundtrack of Zombies 4. We were big fans of the new movie and music!

I am in God’s word daily. I can’t remember the last day that I didn’t read my bible. I am very proud of my consistency. But when I read this verse, it showed me that reading the bible isn’t enough. My heart must be transformed and my actions need to be reflective of what God’s word says. 

As a former athlete, I love when I get feedback that helps me get better. I felt like James was coaching me and telling me how to take my faith and relationship with Jesus to a new, higher level. God is never done working on our hearts, be coachable.

I took lots of great pictures last month, and I’ll share those on the next Life Lately post. However, there was one picture that was a clear winner. It’s not hard to know why. Madley and her baby cousin, Adah, are almost too cute for human eyes to look at, in my opinion. Gosh- I love these girls and the bond they are already forming!

Similar to the favorite picture, picking a favorite moment is another difficult decision. We had so many amazing moments in July, but I’ll have to give our Ducks Baseball End of Season Party the top spot. This baseball family is something so unique and special. Starting with our amazing coaches, the boys, the families, and the siblings- we show up and we have fun! 

Well, I have jumped head first into the biker shorts with oversized tee trend. I am LOVING it, too! I found some biker shorts that are incredible on Amazon. They are super soft, hide any imperfections, and they wash so well. Spoil yourself (only $24) and try a pair out! I have THREE colors!

Y’all- I am in the middle of the IRON Series on Caroline Girvan’s youtube channel. This woman is legit. These 30 min workouts are intense and so amazing. I am about to wrap up this 5 week series.

Dude Perfect’s “Hero” Tour came through town, so Martin and I took the kids. They loved it (we did too). But during the show they showed a sneak peak into their new youtube video. It looked like it was going to be amazing. And… It was even better than amazing. If you haven’t watched their newest video, it is worth the time. It had me in tears at times, I got goosebumps, I laughed, all the emotions. Be sure to check it out!

I listened to quite a few podcasts lately. I am also wanting to find some new ones to listen to- please leave me a comment on a podcast that I should check out!

My favorite podcast right now is Amy Poehler’s Good Hang. I don’t listen to every single episode. If I am a fan of the guest, then I listen to it. I really enjoyed when she had Andy Samberg on. It was so fun and sweet to hear about their friendship.

Routine? Ha! I let myself get a break from all my normal routines for the month of July. I turned off the alarm, and I woke up naturally. I didn’t have a set workout time, just fit it in when I could or wanted. My quiet time hasn’t always been in the morning. If you’ve known me for a while, you know that I love and thrive on a routine. I am looking forward to getting back into a routine once school gets going, I’ve, honestly, missed a routine so much.
