Just Go Live Your Life ā A Heart Note for the Heavy Days
Some days, it hits different.
The kids are loud, the laundryās louder, and your to-do list is tap-dancing on your last nerve. But then a song comes onājust the right one at just the right timeāand suddenly you remember… oh yeah, I am gonna be okay.
Today, it was Live Your Life by Forrest Frank for me. (Play it. Right now. Trust me.)
It felt like a warm hug from Heaven, and I couldnāt help but smile as the lyrics filled my kitchen:
āHey, you’re gonna be okay
Donāt let a little gray sky rain on your paradeā¦ā
Mama, can we just hold onto that for a second?
Because sometimes, we do need someone to tell us what our soul already knowsāthat this storm is temporary, that joy comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5, anyone?), and that Godās already done more than enough to carry us through.
Let’s Slow Down, Shall We?
Thereās a line in the song that goes:
āLetās lay under a coconut tree,
Listen to the birds and the beesā¦ā
Okay, I may not have a palm tree in my backyard (hello, Kansas), but I can close my eyes, take a deep breath, and thank Jesus for this very moment. The sun on my skin. The giggles in the other room. The sacred, messy, beautiful now.
Because living your life isnāt about a beach vacation or a picture-perfect momentāitās about presence. Itās choosing joy before the circumstances catch up.
So Here’s Your Permission Slip:
-
Put your phone down for a minute.
-
Laugh out loud.
-
Dance in your kitchen (bonus points if you have a teenager watching).
-
Read that verse out loud:
“Joy comes with the morning sunājust look what God has done.”
Because you, sweet friend, are doing a lot better than you think.
A Verse to Carry with You:
āThis is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.ā
āPsalm 118:24
