I want to start today’s post by saying thank you. Thank you for bearing with me this week. Maybe it is only obvious to me, the blogger, but I have been in a writer’s block. Every post is like pulling a tug of war rope out of my brain. Weird visual, I know, but it really felt like that.
So for Friday Favorites, I am just going to start typing and see where my brain takes us. Buckle up, friends!
As always, I am linking up with a bunch of other bloggers to share our favorites from the week. You can find links to so many fun blogs on Andrea or Erika’s blogs!
So Many Parks This Week
Sadly, I think this may be our last summer of parks. My kids (little two) always get excited to go to the park, but they quickly realize how old they are once they are there. I am trying to hold on to my park mom life for as long as possible… but that era may be coming to an end.
King David has entered the scene!
I have officially gotten to 1 Samuel and Psalms in my bible reading plan, The Bible Recap. I absolutely love reading about young David. Talk about a heart that was on fire for God, David knew where his strength came from.
If you have never read the story of David, I encourage you to find a plan that dives deep into David’s life. David is absolutely in the HOF in the faith category. He’s not perfect, just warning you, but he authored so many of the Psalms that you love and hold close.
Baseball Wraps Up this Week(end)
It is always so bittersweet when a season ends. We will be spending our weekend at the ballfields for one last time this year. We are so grateful for all the amazing coaches, teammates, families, and siblings that we got to spend so much time with.
I am reminding myself how these are the good days. I won’t always have a boy in uniform doing what he loves. I don’t want to miss all the goodness- I want to soak it all up.
Speaking of which…
Favorite Reminder Goes to…
My bestie, Danielle, sent this to me. It really stopped me dead in my tracks. How often do I take God’s greatest blessings and turn them into what annoys me? I am so flawed, yall. I am so thankful for the grace and mercy my heavenly father gives me, my husband gives me, and my kids give me. Maybe you needed this reminder today like I did.
My Favorite Post from the week…
This wellness post has completely energized me this week! I have already seen so many fantastic results by getting these 5 Wellness Goals started early. If you missed it, I encourage you to read this post and make a list of wellness goals you’d like to turn into a habit for July.
I am going to wrap up Friday Favorites with a prayer, a prayer for you as you head into your weekend. Love y’all!
Dear God, Today I am praying for everyone reading this post. I pray that each person feels your presence as they go about their day and weekend. Lord, keep us and our loved ones safe and out of harm. Please use the Holy Spirit to guide us, help us, and protect us. Your ways are greater than our own, help us get out of your way. Your way is better. In Jesus’ name, Amen. |

Love that post your friend sent you! Sometimes we can get caught up in ourselves so much that all we need is a little paradigm shift to remind us to be grateful for the season we’re in currently! Happy Friday!

I love the way that God has us navigate through many different stages of life. Each new phase can be scary and frustrating until you give it to Jesus and just ❤️ love! I’m pretty sure you’re smack dab in the busiest, craziest, you can hardly take a breath alone stage right now! Dani’s reminder is perfect!
Love you!

Your comments about David are timely for me. I saw David at the Sight and Sound Theater in Branson, MO on Wednesday this week. It was fabulous!! He had a heart that loved Jesus above all else. What an example for all of us.
