Friday Favorites: February 27, 2026

Welcome to Kari Miller Blog!! I am so glad you are here! If you are new to KMB- I am so glad you are here.

Let’s dive into my favorites from the past week.

Favorite Amazon Purchase

I love this highlighter. I am hooked. It is a very subtle glimmer, with a natural glow. If you don’t love your highlighter, you need to check this out.

Favorite Show

American Idol is back in the Miller house. We haven’t watched the show in a few years. We were home with a sick kid and got so sick of watching Dude Perfect, we tried American Idol. We quickly got hooked and haven’t missed an episode since. The singers are great, but I love how the show gives you a glimpse of each contestant’s story. So many amazing testimonies and inspiring stories.

Favorite Moment

I am Madley’s 2nd grade room parent this year. I just wrapped up my room mom duties by planning/running the Valentine’s Day party. Madley caught me off guard when she handed me a handwritten note in the middle of the party. She said that she wrote the note earlier in the day. My eyes started to leak instantly. Hearing thank you felt amazing. I love my girl so much. Madley, you make me double happy, too!

Favorite Bible Verse

When I have my back against a wall, or when I have no idea what to do or which way to go… There is only one thing that I need to do, LOVE GOD. This verse says, “in ALL things” – the good, bad, scary, exciting, confusing, and uncertain things. If you love God, God works good in our lives.

Favorite KMB Blog Post

I am a week into my Lent journey of no social media. You can read my post about WHY I gave up social media. It is going well. I can’t tell you how many times I picked up my phone in the first couple days to pop open Instagram. It was alarming. I deleted the app, so nothing would pop up. I am glad that I put up that deletion boundary, because I, honestly, think I would have accidentally gotten “hooked” again.

I will say that my habit of “checking” social media is less and less each day. I still feel connected with people and don’t feel out of the loop. I will say my blog views are down significantly, because I am not blasting my new blog post on my social media pages/stories. However, I know that God will make sure the right eyes will find their way to my blog. He can work in mighty ways- I trust that if I keep writing and sharing about Him- He will use my blog to reach/inspire  others to do the same.

That’s a wrap on Friday Favorites. Thanks for stopping by! Be sure to check out Erika or Andrea’s blog to see all the other bloggers linking up today to share their faves of the week.

Have a wonderful weekend- thanks for stopping by KMB.
