Friday Favorites: January 16, 2026

Welcome to KMB! Blogging has been a tough find on my daily to-do list. Thank you for sticking with me and showing such generous patience between posts.

I am blogging with Erika and Andrea to share Friday Faves. Be sure to check out their blogs to get links to bloggers around the world sharing their favorites.

Favorite Podcast

I loved this week’s episode. They took so much time talking about NFL and college football. I am a pretty big football nerd, especially during post season play. Baker and I watch Sportscenter each morning.  Sparky, Garrett, and Cody shoot the breeze about all things football. I LOL’d multiple times. I think I need to do a podcast with my besties. I want to talk and laugh for a living.

Favorite TV Show

I have started watching Project Runway on Disney+. I love watching the design and construction of clothes. People are just incredibly creative.

Favorite Moment

This moment was from a couple weeks ago. My family took me to a Hibachi restaurant to celebrate my belated birthday. The food was great, but the company was even greater! We had so much fun!

Favorite Purchase

My sister-in-law informed me that Beyond Yoga made wide leg pants. Naturally, I bought some the next day. They are next level amazing. They are worth the price. Be sure to put this on your birthday list. I ordered a true to size.

Favorite Update

We recently had our carpeted bedrooms and closets replaced for hard wood floors. They look so good. We got wind that our existing hard wood floors were about to be discontinued, so we decided to buy enough boxes to finish upstairs. If I remember, I will share pictures next week! Here is a picture of the construction zone.

Favorite Verse

I listened to a podcast about the late Phil Robertson. The podcast talked about how this one verse really became his life verse. This is a verse I have read many times and didn’t think much of it (or even remembered it). But listening to the way Phil saw this verse and applied it to his life was so beautiful and impactful.

Living a quiet life- that doesn’t really say 2026 does it? Minding your own business? That is something that is unheard of! Getting off your butt (or your phone) and working with your hands- that sounds meaningful.

The next verse was when this verse really became true to me…

When you mind your own business, stay quiet and humble, and work hard- God’s word says that you will win the respect of outsiders. You will stand on your own two feet, not dependent on others to do so. What a beautifully simple concept.

Thank you for checking out this week’s faves. See you next time!
