Let’s Look: Travel Bucket List

✈️ Let’s Look: My Travel Bucket List: Places I’m Dreaming of (and Praying for!)

Let’s be real—sometimes a mama just needs to dream. To look past the piles of laundry and goldfish crumbs in the minivan and imagine herself somewhere magical. Somewhere where the views take your breath away, where memories are made, and where the pace of life slows down just enough to remember what really matters.

So today, I’m sharing my travel bucket list—those places I daydream about during naptime or while folding that fifth load of laundry. Some are family trips, some are couples-only dreams, and some are “someday” prayers. But all of them? Pure joy.

I am linking up with fellow bloggers Erika and Shay today. Be sure to check out their blogs and their Let’s Look: Travel Bucket Lists!

✨✨✨Kari’s Dream Travel Bucket List✨✨✨

🏜️ 1. The Grand Canyon

Because wow. Just wow. I want to stand on the edge of that giant, God-carved canyon and just be still. Can you imagine a sunrise there? Or hiking down with the fam (with snacks, of course)? Definitely a top bucket list moment.

🎄 2. New York City at Christmas

Ice skating at Rockefeller. Window shopping on 5th Ave. Hot cocoa in hand, lights twinkling, and maybe even catching a Christmas show. I can already hear the music and smell the roasted chestnuts. It feels like stepping inside a Hallmark movie!

🏞️ 3. Lake Tahoe

Snow in the winter, lake days in the summer… I’d take either. This feels like a perfect couples trip to reconnect—fresh air, mountain views, and cozy cabin vibes. I’m sold.

🏔️ 4. The Swiss Alps

I want to breathe that mountain air. I want to twirl like Maria from The Sound of Music (don’t judge me), drink hot coffee in a tiny village, and take a train through snowy mountains. Literal dream.

🏛️ 5. Greece

The white buildings. The blue water. The food. Sigh. I want to explore ancient ruins and sit by the sea with a plate full of olives and feta and say thank you, Jesus, for creating this beauty.

🚢 6. Go on a Cruise

I don’t even care where it goes (okay maybe somewhere warm with turquoise water). But the idea of having everything in one place—food, shows, sunshine, rest—sign me up!

🌲 7. Banff National Park, Canada

Those blue lakes? The snowy peaks? The quiet trails? It’s the kind of place that reminds you how small you are and how big God is. I’d love to explore it as a family, hiking, biking, and making the best kind of messy memories.

❄️ 8. Alaska

Whales. Glaciers. Northern lights. It’s wild and rugged and peaceful. I’d love to go with my husband and just marvel at creation together—maybe even on an Alaskan cruise!

🏰 9. Disney with the Kids

Yes, it’s chaotic and expensive and the lines are long. But oh my word, to see their eyes light up when they see Cinderella’s castle for the first time? It’s an experience that I want my kids to get before they are grown and out of the house.

🏝️ 10. Hawaii

Hawaii has been on the bucket list a long time. I am confident that we will make this happen. Just googling images of the Hawaiian islands makes me feel at peace. The pictures look absolutely breathtaking!

🎉Now for fun, I asked my family what five places were on their bucket lists! I encourage you to do this with your kids- it was so fun to hear and I’ll for sure keep these in mind as we plan our vacations.

Let’s keep dreaming, praying, and planning for the memories we’ll one day look back on with full hearts and tired feet. 💛
