Friday Favorites: July 10, 2026

It’s time for Friday Favorites!!

Check out Erika or Andrea’s blog for links to bloggers everywhere sharing their favorites of the week!

Let’s dive in!

Favorite Party

My dear friend, Heather, threw Benny a BIG BROTHER BABY SHOWER. Heather is Fletcher’s mom, Benny’s best friend. She hosted a bunch of teenage boys. She fed them, they decorated onesies, they played fun games, and just celebrated Benny becoming a big brother for the third time. Enjoy these pictures and videos of the chaos!

I don't see Emerson wearing this once... ever. But the boy who made it is a keeper!

Favorite Blog Post

You already know- Madley’s blog post stole the show this week. Her personality and charm really come through when she does voice typing. She captured our trip so well. If you missed it, make sure you check it out here!

Favorite Bump Check

We checked on Emerson Jones this week. She is growing like a weed and measuring right on track! Today marks WEEK 34! Time is FLYING… I am both terrified and excited… I am what Madley calls “nervcited.” I snapped this picture while I was waiting for the doctor.

Favorite Baseball Moment

Benny and Baker both wrapped up baseball. Benny’s tournament was very bittersweet. His team is disbanding after four years together. We are so thankful for the last four years and also so sad it’s over. Here are a few pictures of our Manhattan tournament- the boys played great, even in a 104* heat index for 3 straight games, and finished 2nd place.

Favorite Bible Verse

In Matthew 19, Jesus confronts a rich young man who believes he has done everything required to follow God, yet he walks away sorrowful because he cannot imagine surrendering his wealth to pursue Christ. Jesus then teaches His disciples that earthly treasures…possessions, relationships, property, and opportunities…pale in comparison to the eternal treasure found in the Kingdom of God. When the disciples wonder how anyone can be saved, Jesus reminds them in Matthew 19:26, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” While we are not given a full picture of those heavenly treasures, we can imagine them as the complete satisfaction, joy, fulfillment, and happiness that earthly moments only hint at. Even our deepest laughter, closest relationships, and most meaningful experiences are just shadows of the perfect joy and complete satisfaction we will know in the presence of God.

I will wrap up Friday Faves there. Thank you for spending part of your day here at Kari Miller Blog! See you next time.
