Christmas Wish List Wednesday: Gifts to use DURING the Holidays

Welcome to the first edition of CHRISTMAS WISH LIST WEDNESDAY!

Every Wednesday from now until Christmas, I am going to be sharing some gift ideas for all the different people in your life!

Today’s Wish List is all about gifts you and the whole family can enjoy DURING the holiday season! I wanted to do this one early in the season. These are items that would need to be purchased prior to the holiday season.

Let’s get into it, you’ll see what I mean.

I shared this last year, but in case you missed it, I’ll explain what it is. “Star From Afar” is a Christ-centered family Christmas tradition that helps kids focus on the true meaning of the holiday. Similar to an advent activity, it comes with a wooden nativity set, a book, and a bright star. Each night, parents hide the star somewhere in the house, and in the morning, children search for it. Once they find the star, they move the wise men and other nativity figures closer to it, following along until Christmas Day, when the star rests above baby Jesus in the manger. It’s an interactive and meaningful way for families to celebrate the Christmas story together while keeping Christ at the center of the season.

We also have an Elf on the Shelf. We have the elf follow the star as well. So if mom and dad forget to move the star, the Elf doesn’t move either. This is a life saver for us, because our Elf would forget to move A LOT prior to doing Star from Afar. 😬

Pajamas for Mom

We are always quick to give our kids new, festive pajamas. When was the last time YOU, the mom, got a new set of pjs? Did you just laugh out loud? I have a couple SUPER cute Christmas pajamas that I found, so you can spoil yourself some!

Adorable Christmas Sweaters

I have many, many Christmas shirts/sweaters. They bring me so much joy. If you are needing to step up your Christmas sweater game, I got you.

Advent Calendars for Everyone

Advent calendars can get dicey at the Miller house. We have a beautiful one that we reuse every year, but the kids can get upset about who gets to the advent calendar first every morning. So, I think I am going to go with individual advent calendars this year, and I’ll pick one that is unique to their likes! Here are a bunch that I found on Amazon!

Home Decor

Every year I like to add a couple touches of Christmas magic to my normal decor. When you do that, each year your home gets more and more magical!

My kids would love this funny, festive sign.

These night lights are such a sweet little touch of Christmas for their bedrooms.

I wish this was a thing when my kids were little. Back in my parenting day, I had to make my own felt tree and ornaments. I was shocked at the price too, $14 for 26 pieces! What a steal!

I think this tree is just gorgeous. I am thinking of buying this for my master bedroom. I may just leave it bare and it can provide soft, beautiful lighting.

Kids love snowglobes. I thought this one was beautiful. It also plays music with a timer.

Do you have guests that visit for Christmas? How precious would it be to have their bedroom all decorated for the holiday? I found a few Christmas bedding items that are so fun! Better yet- decorate your own bed! That way you get the joy all season long.

Can you visualize that comforter, with those sheets, and accented with those pillows? DREAMY!

How are we doing?  Are you still hanging in there? Have I totally lost you with all this Christmas craziness? I completely understand if you think I’m cuckoo for cocoa puffs. Please still come back tomorrow to KMB. I won’t talk about Christmas tomorrow. I promise!

Next Wednesday- that will be all about Christmas again. You won’t want to miss it!
