It’s Friday, friends! Heck yes! Love a good Parks & Rec meme!
We have all had a pretty good week, but Fridays feel so good. Today I am doing Friday Favorites a little differently. I am going to share my family members’ favorites over the last couple weeks. I didn’t interview them or anything. This is just my best guess on what their favorites are, I’d like to think I know them pretty well!
My favorite is cooking/meal planning. On Wednesday, I shared on the blog What’s for Dinner? Where I shared what our meals were for this week. I am so proud that I stuck to my meal plan. I also am so grateful that so many people shared how they meal plan or what meals they have on repeat in their house. I feel so full of ideas and inspiration and encouragement.
Martin and I have spent the whole summer watching Parks & Rec every night before bed. We finished the whole series this week. His favorite characters have always been Jean Ralphio and Mona Lisa. Their last scene had to be rewatched over and over again, and Martin laughed out loud every single time!

Baker is playing his first year of tackle football. We are so excited over here!!
Madley is loving school- that for sure is her favorite. But this year is extra special because our neighbor River is now in kindergarten at Madley’s school. And their lunches overlap for a few minutes. And Madley has figured out if she times her lunch bathroom break at the right time, she can give River a hug on her way to the bathroom AND on her back from the bathroom. And Riv got to ride with us to school this week, so it was the best day ever!
I know it’s blurry, but you can tell how precious it is!
We tried a *new to us* sparkling water. And we all became obsessed over them immediately!
Yes, I know it looks like a beer can… so if you see a Miller kid running around drinking a beer, it’s just Liquid Death sparkling water. (I can’t believe I just typed that sentence..)
We’ve only tried the Severed Lime flavor, but we are definitely going to try others!
Bennett’s favorite, outside of fishing, is going on secret rendezvous with his dad. If Martin has to run to Ace, Benny sneaks off with him. Martin needs to get gas or ice, Benny is quick to join. Bennett loves spending one on one time with Martin. And Martin, I think he makes up things to go do, so he can have time with Benny. It is really precious, but I’d by lying if I didn’t say I wasn’t jealous of both of them.
Baker can get a little jealous too, so Martin tries really hard to find one on one time with Bake too.
Fishing. It is all they want to do, always.
Every night Madley and I watch 20 min of our favorite show together, The Great British Bake Off, and snuggle before bed.
We are currently watching season 5. And, yes, we often struggle going to sleep because we get a terrible sweet tooth watching all the yummy bakes!
