Happy Wednesday, blog friends. I’m not sure what is up with me, but I am struggling to find topics to blog about. I think I just need to share about what has been going on between my ears. And that, my friends, is wellness goals.
I mentioned in yesterday’s This & That post that I fell off the wagon after finishing up 75 Hard. I was doing pull ups towards the end of 75 Hard, and if I am being honest, I can no longer do one. It is so sad, all that hard work…. POOF…
So I feel sad, mad at myself, frustrated that I lost all those gains. However, in the last few days my motivation and action are aligned. I have had a great start to this week in the wellness department.
I have made my breakfast and lunch each day – not just eat whatever the kids didn’t finish. I have made water a priority again. I have also gotten up early to move my body first thing. And, boy, I have felt like a new person.
With all that said, today, I want to share some Wellness goals that I have and want to carry over into July. These goals aren’t about numbers or looks, they are more about habits and happiness.
#1: Eat Mostly Whole Foods
I’d never say 100% whole foods- that is impossible and unsustainable for me. However, I want most of my meals to consist of whole foods. I’ve come to realize that eating whole foods make life so simple. Grilled chicken or steak with a sweet potato is so yummy AND so simple.
#2: Be Okay to Sweat
It is HOT outside, y’all. I want to embrace the sweat and not be afraid of getting sweaty. My motivation in the early parts of June was so low in part because of the weather. It isn’t comfortable to be out in the garage working out in 90+ degree temps. I am deciding NOW that sweating is cool and a badge of honor!
#3: Increase my NEAT movement
I wrote a post about NEAT movement a while back. I am going to refer to that post and keep NEAT in the front of my mind throughout the day. Putting up laundry? Sure, that is a great way to get in some extra steps. Checking the mail? Don’t mind if I do- that will add a couple hundred steps to my step count.
#4: Don’t pass on a treat, take a bite.
Binge eating has been a problem for me in the past. I am embracing the “take the bite” method when it comes to treats. If there are cookies, take a generous bite and be done. Ice cream? Take a healthy spoonful and enjoy. I have found it is when I try to deny myself of the treat, I eventually binge on it or something else. I understand not all of you function like this, but I do.
#5: Follow healthy people
I am starting an overhaul of my social media. I want my feed to be filled with my “real life” friends and “healthy” influencers. I know that influencers can get a bad wrap, but I have found there to be so many that are creating healthy, inspiring content. I want my feed to showcase women following Jesus, working out, eating yummy foods, and making life look worth living.
And those are 5 Wellness Goals I want to make habits in July 2025. What are some wellness goals you have? I’d love to hear them!

I found a free app on my phone called Yuka. You can scan your food when you shop to see how good or bad it is for you. I also make normal times during the day opportunities to burn more calories. At stores I park as far away as I can so I have to walk (I have a brand new car too so that helps. I try not to get hit) and I get the bad cart at the store. Harder to push equals more calories burned. Not goals but this app really opened my eyes.
