Day in the LIfe: June 13, 2025

Today I am sharing another Day in the Life post! These are always a favorite on the blog and I don’t blame you. I LOVE when the bloggers I follow do Day in the Life posts. Isn’t it fascinating to get a glimpse into someone’s everyday life?

I’m going to be honest- it wasn’t my best attempt at documenting our day, but I have enough to make due.  I hope you enjoy a little peek into our life.

The day started with a 5:30am wake up. I popped up out of bed (slowly) and made my coffee. Then I settled into my quiet time.

I love this little corner of mine- this time is sacred to me. You can read all about my Quiet Time Routine, I did a whole post!

This girl woke up early and snuggled me while I finished reading.

Then it was time for breakfast. Kids had protein pancakes, bacon, and smoothies.

And my breakfast- a simple bowl of Frosted Mini Wheats.

After breakfast, we headed out for a little walk (1.5 miles). The morning temps have been so nice. Plus, we were going to be gone the whole afternoon for baseball, so we need to get Ruby out and about.

On our walk we noticed that fish had gotten trapped in the ditch after all the rain we’ve gotten.

So the kids rushed home to get a bucket and net. They were on a rescue mission!

We ended up saving 12 fish. We walked to our neighborhood pond to release them!

After the fish rescue was complete, I walked around the flower beds, pulled weeds, checked up on everything, and marveled at my limelight hydrangeas blooming! They are so gorgeous right now.

I then did a quick 30 minute workout in the garage. Currently watching season 5 of Friends. So good and makes my workouts fly by!

The mad dash of packing snacks, waters, coolers, bat bags, chairs, etc. began. It was odd having a Friday game at 12:30, but the Ducks played incredible and beat a very good team.

I’ll say this forever- watching Baker play any sport is my favorite thing to watch! It’s not because he is so amazing or anything, but he is always so focused, encouraging his teammates, and giving it all he’s got.

We sat one game, tried to stay cool, ate all the snacks, and enjoyed great company. Then it was time for game 2.

Game two, here we come. The heat was pretty brutal, especially with ZERO wind. The boys played well despite the heat.

After the game, Baker requested Panera for dinner. I snapped these pictures of the kids waiting for the food to be ready. We were all so wiped from the heat!

Everyone ate super well. We then headed home for baths/showers.

Me and my girl watched an episode of Junior Bake Off on Netflix in our PJ’s before calling it a night.

That wraps up today’s Day in the Life post! I hope you enjoyed it. And if you did- you can revisit my previous Day in the Life posts…
