TGIF: February 21, 2025

THANK
GOD

IT’S

FRIDAY.

What a week. What a COLD, COLD, COLD week. Holy smokes. But, we made it, y’all.

With spring temperatures in the near future and the kids returning to school, I feel like it is the perfect day to thank GOD! Amen? Amen!

Thank you, God, for school. I can say with 100% certainty that my kids need and want school. You take that for granted until you are hit with 83749275 snow days in a month and a half. Kids were made to be social, to learn, and to play. I am so thankful for the schools my kids attend. I appreciate their teachers, the aides, and everyone else that pours into my kids.

Thank you, God, for your promises. This is pretty broad, but when winter is so cold, I start to eagerly await spring. It reminds me to eagerly await God’s promises and to appreciate the promises that have already been fulfilled.

Thank you, God, for health. This winter has been so awful for so many families because of illness. The flu hit Benny so hard. It was devastating to see him so sick, but because of God’s grace and mercy, Benny is back to normal. I am praising God for healthy strong kids that can bounce back after illness. If you are able to move your body, take care of your family, breathe fresh air- let’s give God the glory!

Thank you, God, for supportive friends and family. I will be coming up on one year of blogging this spring. The support of my friends and family has been so encouraging. Their support means so much to me. The words that I write are usually inspired by all the love that they give to me.

I hope you all have a wonderful Friday and weekend!

  1. Love this! I’m so thankful for healthy and happy kids who see outside of themselves. Thankful for an amazing husband/best friend! Thankful for family dinner tonight!! It’s our fav day of the week!

  2. My 10 year blogging anniversary is next Saturday. I can tell you that the community in the blogging world is one of the best ever! And to have your family and friends behind you makes it even more delightful. I will admit a lot of my friends do not get what blogging is about, some family members too, but the important thing is that it makes you feel good! I will also tell you blogging is 100% better than that crappy social media! What a great outlet to talk about how we’re feeling and meet such like-minded ladies! Wishing you a blessed weekend!
