My heart is heavy today. The hurricanes that have hit the US are so devastating. I know God is in control, I know the bible prophesied these types of events, I know God can/will turn things for good. I know all of these things, but God has given us the gift of empathy, my heart is hurting for these victims, for the beautiful nature that has been destroyed, just all of it.
With all this said, I am taking this Friday to be thankful. I am going to thank God for the blessings in my life: big, small, serious, silly, etc. I hope you take a moment to thank God for your blessings. Life is short and unpredictable. We can’t waste time- we need to be grateful and present. Tomorrow isn’t promised.
Today I am thanking God for…
Crisp Mornings
I love heading out for the day in my light jacket or sweater. Coffee hits differently when there is a chill in the air.
Health
My kids have stayed healthy this far into the school year. I am so thankful for that. I pray that God protects them from serious illness. I also pray that when illness hits, that we can fight it and God provides me the strength and wisdom to take care of them with love and patience.
Teachers
Parent Teacher conferences happen this time of year. I am thankful that teachers are willing to prepare mentally for them. It is a lot of work preparing for every single child’s conference. Not all parents are kind and grateful for what you do in the classroom. So, please be respectful and grateful for teachers this time of year.
Liquid IV
I have my Liquid IV every single day. I am completely sold on their benefits. I feel like I am hydrated. My skin is the best it has ever been. I also love the flavors- makes drinking water exciting.
Nails
I recently got my nails redid. I love them, light brown with chrome on top. My nail technician was back from her maternity leave, and that made me so happy.
My Community
We recently had our fall festival, that was so fun. Also, Friday Night Lights is tonight. I am so proud of our school, it is so fun to support the team, cheerleaders, dance team, and band. I think it is so important to be a part of something bigger than yourself. It takes a village, and I am so thankful for mine!
TGIF- literally! Thanks for visiting the blog this week. I will see you all back here on Monday. Love y’all.
MORE TGIF POSTS TO CHECK OUT
The hurricanes are truly awful, I really feel for all the people effected in the US.
We had our first frost of the season this morning and it really was crisp! I do love those mornings.
I hope your kids continue to stay healthy, when my girls were younger it was always this time of year they came down with colds and bugs.
