Every single month, I pot my monthly fitness stats for all to see. (June, July, August) It has been very fascinating for me to see the fluctuations from month to month.
This past month was a month of adjustments for the Miller family, especially me.
School started– huge adjustment.
Kari went back to work- big adjustment, even though it is just part time.
Martin went on a 4 day trip- so hard being a single parent.
Juggling work, blogging, middle school homework, sports – All amazing things but require myself to give grace to myself.
With these adjustments, I was expecting a natural decline in my fitness stats, and I am okay with that. I am proud of the numbers. I would like to see them go up this month, but I’m still proud.
One bright spot is that I have reintroduced running and lower body strength and my knee feels great! I am so grateful for that!
Before we get to the numbers- let’s not forget why exercise and physical movement is so important to me.
I want exercise to be an offering of thanksgiving to God.
August 13- September 13 Fitness Stats
Total Minutes of Exercise: 2,481 minutes (-502 minutes from last month)
Total Steps: 398,956 steps (-24,396 steps from last month)
Total Miles Walked: 181.54 miles (-8.17 miles from last month)
Runs Completed: 4 (+2 from last month)
Weight Training Workouts Completed: 18 (-1 from last month)
I said last month that my numbers were going to be hard to beat- and I was right.
I am looking forward to the next month of workouts. I am hopeful that my step count will be up because of my STEPtember Challenge.
I am planning on running a little bit more, since my knee has been feeling so good as of late. I love running in September. The mornings are so crisp and refreshing.
Thanks for checking in on my progress. I am so thankful for this healthy body God has blessed me with, I don’t want to take advantage of this gift.
