Wednesday Wellness: Shoe Review

Today I am going to be sharing/reviewing my last 4 workout shoes. So over the course of 12 months, I have had 4 pairs of workout shoes. Is that a lot? I am not sure, but I do know that when you workout everyday, take walks most days, and wear these shoes all day, you wear them out pretty quickly. I wear shoes until the tread is run all the way down.

Let’s begin…

Hoka’s Clifton 9

These are my favorites in the comfort department, not necessarily in the looks department. I don’t think they are ugly, but I have others that I think look “cooler.” But I have loved this shoe so much that I purchased them twice this year! One pair was light blue/orange. One pair was sand colored.

These are the shoes I do weight training in and run in. I also prefer these for long walks.

The only negative thing I can say about them is that I find that little tiny rocks/debris tend to flip into my shoe by the heel. It is very odd.

SIDENOTE: I really want them in the color above. If you ever find them and in a women’s 9- I’ll venmo you!

On’s Cloudmonsters

I love the Cloudmonsters. I think they are super cute!! They are up there with the Clifton 9’s in the comfort department too. It really feels like you are walking on clouds. They come in super cute colors. I have never seen a pair that isn’t cute. I never worked out in these shoes, I always stuck with the Cliftons, but I think I could have.

The only annoying thing about these shoes is you have to untie the shoe to take them off. You can not just slip them off. I know that is a small thing, but it was a bit of a hassle every night.

SIDENOTE: I have seen these at Nordstrom Rack for only $100! I got Martin a pair there.

Hoka’s Carbon X

Okay- I have wanted these shoes for years. I saw someone wearing them and I instantly wanted them. However when I did my research, Carbon X’s are made for fast running. I don’t do fast running. Darn!

Well, after a year of still thinking about them, I just cracked. I found them on sale and just bought them. I love the colors and design. I don’t workout in them, but they are a fun shoe to wear with all my athleisure clothes. They have other color combos, but I LOVED the black/white.

Adidas Ultraboost

My mom got me these for Christmas. I have worn them a handful of times. They are super cute and come in lots of fun colors. BUT- the comfort doesn’t even come close to the CloudMonsters or the Cliftons. So much that I gave these shoes to Bennett. He has enjoyed them, but I honestly have no desire to wear them.

That concludes my shoe review. I am eyeing a new pair of Cliftons soon, so let me know if there is another shoe that I may need to try!

See you tomorrow for another blog post!
