What’s Up Wednesday: April 2024

Enjoy the “what’s” that are going on in the Miller family as of late.

Bennett is wrapping up elementary school. I am so excited for him and trying to keep my focus on that. I’d be lying if my heart didn’t jump or my eyes didn’t swell anytime I think about it. He is so ready and equipped for middle school. To know Benny, is to love Benny. His demeanor and character are well beyond his years. He is good to his core. He loves Jesus, family, friends, teachers, and sports. Here are a few pictures over his elementary years. Same sweet boy in each photo.

I finally got the Hoka’s that I have wanted for years! And I love them!!

Baseball. That is it. Our lives are about to eat, sleep, and breath baseball for two months. I am so pumped for it, not overwhelmed about how I am supposed to get people fed, kids to and from, or completing house chores…. But I will get to see my boys do what they love and I LOVE that!

MAY! May always flies by, summer is right around the corner. I am determined to enjoy every second of this May and this summer. Live in the moment and savor this summer. My sweet family is growing so fast and summers are numbered with Benny. I only have 6 more left with him. I want to make it count!

Along with the rest of the world, duh!

I am currently reading Numbers right now. Numbers is about the Israelites post the passover, post fleaing Egyptian slavery under Moses’ leadership, and making their way to their promised land. I continually find myself so frustrated with the Israelites. They literally have God in their presence, guiding them, providing for them, and protecting them. And STILL, they lack faith. They take all of it for granted. They forget all the things God has done for them. They get pouty and selfish. They wish for “greener grass.” UMMMMM…. Newsflash- I am just like these Israelites. It is hard to admit this. I don’t want to be. I am guilty of all the things. I complain, yearn for earthly things, question my purpose, etc. THANK YOU, GOD, for treating me with grace and mercy. Thank you for being patient and loving me. I am so glad we have His word to learn from, reflect on, and strive to be better and better. God’s will > My will.

That wraps up “What’s Up Wednesday”.
