What’s Up Wednesday: September 2024

The post with the most views this month was my Fall Friday: Fall Home Tour 2024. That makes me so happy! I loved giving you a glimpse into our home.

A close second place post was my Let’s Look September posts about Quick Weeknight Dinners. This is shocking to me and makes me realize I am not alone in finding the best way to feed my family. Thanks for making me feel seen.

This weekend is a big one! Martin’s birthday is on Sunday. Can’t wait to celebrate with my hunky husband! Also, this weekend is our small town’s annual celebration called Greater Andover Days! So we will be parading and doing carnival rides! And… My sister and niece are coming to visit!!! So excited to see them. I’ll be sure to post a recap of the weekend next week. It will be too good not to document on the blog.

I have been reading about the prophet’s Elijah and Elisha. I have really enjoyed the bible stories/lessons in Kings. These prophets were so incredible. In 2 Kings 6, Elisha asks the Lord to show a young man what Elisha sees as they are surrounded by an army set out to kill them. The Lord reveals to the boy a heavenly army of horses and chariots of fire protecting them! GOOSEBUMPS!

When you feel surrounded by your situation or circumstances, ask God to reveal to you that, even though you are surrounded, you are being surrounded by GOD’s army!

Take a couple minutes to listen to this song by Michael W. Smith, Surrounded (Fight My Battles).

If football is not on the screen, then I have the Golden Bachelorette on or Dancing with the Stars. Martin and I are still going through Big Bang Theory at night. Lots of good TV right now.

I am about two weeks into my Intermittent Fasting. It has gone very well so far! I have only broken my fast early one time. I made a big batch of french toast that HAD to be eaten! But I am proud of myself for eating it, not freaking out, and then getting back on track the next day. BALANCE.

I am currently working through Sydney Cummings’ new playlist called Stronger. I get through 4 videos in a week. I am now running 2x/week. Then one day is a rest day.

We have a few family and friend’s birthdays to celebrate! We will be visiting the pumpkin patch (or two). We are excited about high school football home games and homecoming! Basketball will get going for the boys- so that is very exciting!! Baker will wrap up fall flag football and fall baseball.

As a room parent, I will be organizing and running Baker’s school Halloween Party- always a hoot! (Can’t wait, Nicole Loy!)

There are a couple things I am looking forward to…

  1. Greater Andover Days is this weekend! It is our town’s annual fall festival/parade/carnival! It is always a favorite of ours!

  2. Martin’s birthday is Sunday! Can’t wait to celebrate my favorite person! He just gets better with age!

  3. My sister, Trishy, and my niece, JoJo, are coming to visit!! I think Jovie’s boyfriend, Dom, is coming too!! My boys LOVE Dom!

Here are a few RANDOM Amazon purchases I had last month…

  1. CLEAN SIMPLE EATS: GREENS

  2. Dog Food for Sensitive Stomachs

  3. Shoe Cleaner

  4. Blender Bottle

  5. Iced Coffee Glasses

  6. KC Chiefs Football

The weather! We went from one of the HOTTEST weeks of the entire year to ten solid days of gorgeous 60-70 degree days! It is incredible! This is why fall is magical- when you get days of just perfection! Just don’t forget to take your allergy pill… ragweed, am I right?!?

Thanks for seeing WHAT’S UP with me! See you tomorrow- this was a fun one!
