The NCAA tournament has me all in my feels. I was lucky enough to play in two NCAA tournaments and one WNIT tourney. I have forgotten many games, but I’ve never forgotten post season games. They are so special. You work so incredibly hard all pre-season and season to try and earn a spot in the post-season.
Besides basketball? I am loving 75 Hard! It is such an empowering experience. I feel in control of my eating for the first time ever. Physically, I feel super strong. I also feel more productive in my days. I wake up every morning excited to win the day.
I have been doing 75 Hard. So that means…
1. Two 45 minute workouts/day.
2. Drink a Gallon of water/day.
3. Read 10 pages of a non fiction book/day.
4. Stick to a diet of my choosing. (I am tracking all my food and hitting 100+ grams of protein/day)
5. Take a progress pic every day.
I am currently on day 38. I am just chugging along! The progress pictures really show how much my body is loving this structure, it is just so exciting.
As you know, I recently finished reading through the whole bible. So, I am now starting back over with the books of Genesis and Job (“jobe”). I love the book of Genesis: creation, Noah’s Ark, Joseph. However, the book of Job is challenging. Job is a righteous man, God says so himself. However, God allows Satan to blow up Job’s life. His family members all die, his land and wealth get stolen, and Satan even takes Job’s health. He has nothing. Well, Job does have a few friends left, but they are lousy friends. Instead of comforting Job, they blame Job for all these bad things happening, insinuating that he brought this all upon himself.
So, if you have a friend that is going through something completely unfair and horrible, be the friend that brings comfort. Sometimes you don’t have to have words, you get need to be there for them.
Let’s be honest, you don’t come to my blog for the fashion. But, nonetheless, I have been loving my Nike Dunks. They are my “dress up” shoe. They take my athleisure outfits and make them fancy. If you think I am joking, I am not. You can also find them and other cute fashion sneaks on Amazon here– save money on shipping!
This weekend will be epic! Baker is playing in his first baseball tourney of the season. Watching him play any sport is always a favorite of mine. Go Ducks! Also, my besties, Dani and Kimberly, are coming for the weekend! We are going to have the best time!
Did I love? Love is a strong word, but I did restock my boys with all their baseball gear! These pants are our favorites. And these sliding shorts are another favorite. ‘Tis the season!
I am excited about lots of things, here are a few!
1. Continuing 75 Hard!
2. Seeing best friends this weekend!
3. Summer is only 7.5 weeks away!
4. We had some deliveries come this week that I’ll be sharing soon!
And that is what’s up with me! I hope you enjoyed another What’s Up Wednesday!
