Today I will be sharing my favorite summer snacks. These are all healthy options to get you from meal to meal without binge eating your 10 year old’s Taki’s because you waited too long to eat… You’ve never done that? Me neither…
Before we get to the snacks, here is the schedule that I follow most days.
8:00am Breakfast
10:00am Morning Snack
12:00pm Lunch
2:00pm Afternoon Snack #1
3:00pm Afternoon Snack #2
5:30pm Dinner
Morning Snacks
Here are a couple of morning snacks that are my go-to…
My favorite flavor is Dark Chocolate. I just scoop out 1/2 cup and much away. No sugar, lots of protein and fiber. It is a cereal, but I only eat it dry. I bet it would be yummy with milk. It is also vegan-friendly and GF.
If I am feeling extra hungry in between breakfast and lunch, I usually go for this protein shake. These Fairlife shakes are so delicious and really fill me up.
This yogurt is amazing. SO YUMMY! I love to add a handful of frozen dark chocolate chips. If I have fresh strawberries, I’ll throw those in too! But this yogurt is so good, it is good just plain. It always satisfies my sweet tooth cravings I ALWAYS get mid-afternoon!
I really enjoy the chocolate chip cookie dough flavor. Another easy- on the go- snack. I can enjoy this quilt free due to low sugar and high protein.
Afternoon Snack #2
This snack is almost always fruit of some kind. Whatever we have at the house, I will just clean and cut up. The kids and I will snack together to help us get to dinner time.
