Well, I am officially on Day 31 of the 75 Hard Challenge. Part of this daily challenge is to drink a gallon of water every day. In last couple weeks, I have found a really good rhythm to get my ounces in. I am going to share that today.
So, if you have been wanting to try 75 Hard or just want to drink more water, I think you’ll enjoy this post!
Mentally, I have to break apart the gallon into quarts.
5:00-6:30am- QUART #1
The first thing I do when I leave my bedroom every morning is chug 16oz of water. I always mix my preworkout and creatine in using my shaker bottle.
I then refill my shaker bottle with another 16 oz mixed with my Clean Simple Eats SuperGreens. I drink this during my morning workout.
6:30-10:30am- QUART #2
I use a 32oz. Owala water bottle (LOVE THIS BOTTLE).
Every day I drink my 2nd quart with my Liquid IV. Hands down, this is my favorite quart of the day. I LOVE my Liquid IV.
10:30am- 2:00pm QUART #3 (⅔ quart)
Every lunch I have a “fun” drink like a Waterloo or Zevia. Then post lunch I always take a hot coffee or some Cold Brew. Together these two drinks are about 24 fluid ounces. I know that is not quite a quart. I save the last 8-10 ounces to take my nightly vitamins before bed.
2:00-6:00 QUART #4
To be honest, this quart is the hardest to drink. It is just plain, boring water. I like to get this quart done prior to 6:00, so my sleep won’t be too affected by having to get up to use the bathroom multiple times.
9:00pm – LAST 10 oz.
My last drink is to take my nightly vitamins. And then we are done.
And that is how I drink a gallon of water every single day. It really isn’t hard to do, but if you forget a quart, it can be very uncomfortable trying to play catch up.
