My Final Thoughts on 75 Hard

We have all accomplished big things in our lives. Graduating high school or college, getting married, giving birth, rehabbing a serious injury, etc. Once you are on the other side you are proud, no doubt, but tired and rundown.

The last couple weeks of 75 Hard were HARD. I stopped enjoying the process. I was burnt out. I pushed through and finished.

The greatest takeaway was actually two things. One, I could never have done this without my friend Kellie doing it with me and without putting it out there on the blog. That kept me more motivated than anything to continue. Two, I can have self control when it comes to food. I am a great eater about 90% of the time. 75 Hard taught me that I can do it 100% if it is important to me. I’m okay with indulging, so I think 95% sounds like a sweet spot for me.

Two things I loved about 75 Hard were the workouts and the pictures. I love being active, so two workouts a day excited me. Surprisingly, the progress pictures seemed dumb to me at first, but now, I am so thankful I have pictures that literally show progress outside of the scale.

I lost only 2.5 lbs from these two pictures.

Would I ever do it again? That is tough to say. Right now, no. However, it was an incredible routine to create new habits or reset my fitness/health/mental strength. If I feel like I need to calibrate, I could see myself dusting off the 75 Hard Checklist and doing it again. Maybe next time just doing a month.

Overall, I am just so thankful God sustained my physical and mental health to complete this challenge.

Please leave a comment with any questions you have about 75 Hard.

“Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.”

1 Corinthians 6:19-20

I want exercise to be an offering of thanksgiving to God.

See y’all next time!
