Today I want to share ten random things about my family that I don’t want to forget. These aren’t really deep, emotional things. I am talking about the everyday ins and outs, corky things about us. And when you have a blog, you publish it and then you have it forever… right?!
I hope you enjoy these silly random things. What is a random thing about your family right now that you’d like to remember forever?
Christmas Vacation in Bed- Martin and I took about 4 nights to watch Christmas Vacation before falling asleep. It was so fun to be laughing out loud at the end of those days.
Giant Santa- Martin “let” me get a 12 foot inflatable Santa for our front yard. The kids love it. The neighbor kids love it. It brings joy.
Christmas Office Episodes- Over Thanksgiving break Bennett watched The Office Christmas episodes with me while I folded laundry. It was so much fun!
Car Temperature Problems- I like to have the heated seats on and the heat on 74. I get real comfortable and warm. Everyone else in my family starts dying of heat exhaustion. So it’s either I am comfortable and they are whining OR I am frozen and they are happy. There is no happy medium.
Fireplace- We have been putting our fireplace on more and more. It takes the cozy level in our house jump 5 levels. I love it!
Baker & Ruby- I don’t ever want to forget about their sweet relationship. Every single morning when Baker wakes up, Ruby finds him (or vice versa) and they just spend the first five minutes of the day in a snuggle. And I mean every morning.
3 for 30 Challenge- I was challenged by my bestie, Dani, to do the 3 for 30 fitness challenge. It is where you run/walk 3 miles every day in December. OR you can do a 30 minute workout of your choice instead of the 3 miles. We also added that you have to send a selfie to each other once you are done. It has been so fun texting her every day. I feel like I am involved in her everyday life.
Martin and Christmas Shopping- Your boy has a problem. He loves to give and spoil! New boxes keep arriving every day- it is always something he ordered for someone. He just can’t help himself!
Madley’s Reading- Madley is halfway through first grade. This is a magical time, where something just clicks, and they can all of a sudden read. It is my favorite thing about teaching first grade. This click is happening right now for Madley. She is so pumped. She is reading SO much! I love it!
Benny’s Middle School Work- Holy Smokes- Bennett is handling middle school so well. However, the amount of studying right now is INSANE! I think this is normal as the semester is wrapping up. It has been quite the adventure to figure this all out.

I always think of Grandma and Grampa when I watch Christmas Vacation! Love it! It was their favorite.
What lovely random moments and memories. Those things are the best things. These really made me smile.
