Hey friend!
It’s time for a little This & That—a peek into what we’ve been up to, what I’m loving lately, and the little things bringing joy during these sun-soaked summer days. Grab an iced coffee and let’s catch up. If you enjoy this style of post- it may be a new series on KMB. Please let me know in the comments if you’d like to see more This & That.
This: Poolside with the Kids
That: Dreaming of a Solo Afternoon
Our days are full of splashes, sunscreen, and snacks by the dozen. I love seeing the kids soak up summer, but let’s be honest—quiet errands alone feel like a mini vacation. Target, Starbucks, and silence? Yes please. Summer means kids are with me and I am with them 100% of the time. An afternoon of a house that stays clean (specifically the kitchen) sounds pretty good.
This: Favorite Summer Must-Haves
That: Keeping It Simple & Sanity-Saving
Here are a few things I’m using on repeat this summer:
-
Wyler’s Popsicles – they are just superior to all other popsicles!
-
Goodr Sunglasses – cute and just inexpensive enough to breath easy!
-
Owala cup – because hydration is cuter without the spill.
-
The greatest swim goggles – the straps are amazing and easy for kids to adjust!
This: Watermelon Slices & Grilled Dinners
That: YASSO Bars After Bedtime
We’re keeping meals light and simple: grilled chicken and hot dogs on the grill, ALL the fresh fruit, and easy sides. But after the kids are in bed? I’m 100% treating myself to a frozen Greek yogurt bar!
This: Walks Around the Neighborhood
That: Chasing Kids in the Backyard
Getting outside has been my therapy. Whether it’s a solo walk at sunrise or just playing catch in the yard, I’m soaking it up. Bonus points if I can wear my weighted vest! I couldn’t find the link to my weighted vest, but I found a highly rated one on Amazon that is on major sale right now.
This: Bible Time in the Mornings
That: Trying to Stay Consistent
My quiet time is still happening, but it is different in the summer. I am currently making my way through Judges in the old testament. It is kind of a rough book to get through, but so many lessons to be learned and reminded of. There is no better way to enjoy a hot coffee/latte than doing it while reading God’s word.
That’s what life looks like lately—some fun, some mess, and a whole lot of grace.
Drop a comment and let me know what your this & that moments are right now! I love hearing what other mamas are into this season.
