Happy October, blog friends!
Today’s post is pretty self-explanatory. Here are 10 items that I have on my October Bucket List. Hoping to cross these off this month! My goal with posts like this is to inspire you to make your own bucket list, steal some of my ideas as your own. Find joy in life, be intentional with your family time, love life, and be excitable!
Kari’s October Bucket List
Friday Night Lights
Our high school team has had only ONE home game so far this year and it was ruined by a thunderstorm. So October is all about home football games! Can’t wait to cheer on the Jags!
Carve Pumpkins
This one I have always dreaded in the past, too messy for my liking. However, last year we carved some, and I was pleasantly surprised how quick and painless the process was. Carving tools and lights are essential to making this bucket list item actually fun!
Bake Something
I am hoping to get a few bakes in this month! I am thinking pumpkin bread and some oatmeal cookies! They both just scream October comfort foods! This leads me to my next bucket list item…
Pumpkin Pancakes
These are too easy and too good not to enjoy during October. I think breakfast for dinner may be on the menu this month!
Host a Watch Party
Invite friends or family over for a football watch party! If hosting is intimidating to you, but you’ve always wanted to, football watch parties are the way to go! You don’t have to plan activities, just put the game on! Finger foods are so yummy, too!
Complete my Christmas List
You heard me. I want to brainstorm, write down what everyone is getting for Christmas. I want the list done by the month’s end. Once November hits, I can start purchasing gifts.
Buy Costumes NOW!
I am bad at getting costumes early. So, this week I am going to make sure everyone’s costume is ordered!
Share More on Social Media/ Consume Less
I am trying to reverse my social media habits. I want to be sharing more than I am consuming. I am not saying I want to share all the time, but I want to view social media as a medium to share with others rather than a medium to consume content. Does that make sense?
Start a Gratitude Journal
I am going to use this journal that I found on Amazon. I am going to start writing down my gratitude daily. The ‘ber months are always so fun and jam packed, but they can also be stressful and overwhelming. I want to establish a habit of gratitude now, prior to the Christmas crazy season! I want to make sure I know what I am celebrating on Christmas and not just be so glad it is finally over.
Be a Kid!
This month, I want to embrace my inner child! I want to listen to the fun music, sing in the car, plan the classroom party, wear the fun shirts, be present in this current season!
And that is my October Bucket List! I hope this gave you some ideas to do this month or to create your own bucket list. Be excitable and grateful for this one life you have been given. Be a kid again!
See you tomorrow, blog friends!
What a great list! I hope you get to do everything!
I used to hate carving pumpkins when my girls were little but now they’re older it’s a lot more fun and a less messier.
Sounds like you have a wonderful October in store! Good luck getting your items checked off the list.
This is a great list…I especially like number 10! Enjoy every moment 🙂
