Today I am going to give you a little snapshot into my morning routine. I will say that my morning routine is about the most consistent thing that I do in my life. There are only a handful of days in a year that this morning routine does not happen.
Also, important to note, I have not changed my morning routine since summer began. I am still doing the same thing that I did when I was working. I think this has helped me tremendously transition into summer smoother.
So GOOD MORNING, here we go…
5:00 am Wake Up
It takes me about 10 minutes to actually get out of bed. I spend this time on my phone, slowly gaining consciousness. I kind of wish I could break this habit, maybe that will be a goal of mine. But I do not ever fall back asleep.
5:15-6:00 am Workout
My workouts are very routine also. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday are weight lifting. I use Sydney Cummings workouts on youtube. We have a home gym in our garage, so I don’t have to drive anywhere in the morning.
Wednesday and Saturdays, I go for a run. On Wednesdays I do right around 3 miles. Saturday I usually run 4-5 miles. All my runs are with my furry sidekick, Ruby!
Sunday is my rest day, so I use this time to take Ruby for a 1.5mile walk.
6:00 am Make Latte/ Prep Breakfast
I am obsessed with my espresso machine and I will say that my homemade vanilla lattes are incredible! If I am making muffins, cinnamon rolls I will start the oven and get them in the oven during this time too.
6:10-6:40 Quiet Time/Bible Study
With my latte by my side, I now settle into my little nook in the dining room and do my quiet time. I am very routine in how I do my quiet time. I use the bible app and The Bible Recap to guide this time. I may do another post breaking down my quiet time.
6:40-7:00 Get Ready for Day
I usually listen to a podcast while I get ready.
I think this is where I am going to stop this post. Anything that happens after this isn’t a routine. Notice no breakfast for me was mentioned, that area is very inconsistent. I don’t fast, but there are many mornings I just forget to eat.
So, this concludes my morning routine. I absolutely cherish my morning routine. I love waking up early and feeling a step ahead of this crazy world. I hope you have a routine that you love, that gets each day off to a great start!
Check out another morning routine post I wrote last summer.
