Kari’s Top 10 TV Shows

1. The Office

The Office is just my happy place. I have most of it memorized, I don’t even have to watch it, listening is sufficient enough. My favorite episode is FUN RUN, Season 4 Episodes 1-2. My favorite character is a tie between Dwight and Michael.

2. Parks & Rec

Parks & Recreation is created by the same people who created the American version of The Office. It has a very similar feel to The Office. However, Parks and Rec is more on the fun and positive side. The cast is hilarious. If you start watching it for the first time, please push through the first few episodes. It is totally worth it. My favorite arc of the show is the Harvest Festival in season 3. It gives me all the feels.

3. Seinfeld

Seinfeld (TV Series 1989–1998) - IMDb

Seinfeld is just classic. It is very binge worthy, tons of episodes. It always makes me want to live in NYC. Bonus, Seinfeld is on Netflix. My favorite episode is The Merv Griffin Show, but there are so many that it was near impossible to pick just one.

4. Big Bang Theory

Paramount Press Express | CBS Entertainment | The Big Bang Theory | About

Big Bang Theory is a show that Martin and I both like. I just can’t get him to watch The Office or Parks and Rec with me… grrrr… I was always so against this show back in the day. Jim Parsons “Sheldon” always won the Emmy for best actor over Steve Carrell (Michael Scott) from The Office. I didn’t understand how that was even possible, it bugged me. But then a decade later I started watching the show, and I get it.  Jim Parsons as Sheldon is fantastic, like super fantastic. I also never liked it because The Big Bang Theory isn’t something Christians believe. After watching the show, I can attest that the show has nothing to do with the Big Bang Theory. My favorite episode is when we get introduced to Amy Farrah Fowler in season 3, episode 23.

5. Great british bake off

The Great British Bake Off - Rotten Tomatoes

The Great British Bake Off is sooooo good! It is wholesome, fascinating, and the hosts are hilarious and sweet. It is on Netflix and, obviously, based out of Britain. They bake in a tent in the middle of the  most beautiful meadow. It is so beautiful. Whenever I watch this show- Martin doesn’t “want” to watch. However, when he walks by, he ends up standing by the TV and watches for awhile. He just can’t help it, it is so fun! The new season starts in September. However, if you have never watched the show, you can watch all 13+ seasons on Netflix. Also, they do holiday specials in the fall and those are even more fun because Christmas is involved!

6. Dancing with the stars

Watch Dancing with the Stars Streaming Only on Disney+ - ABC.com

Dancing with the Stars has always been a favorite of mine. I will admit that I haven’t watched the last few seasons. Life in the fall is so busy, and I struggle to keep up with shows. Martin has ZERO interest in this one, so we usually choose to watch something we both like to watch once the kids are in bed. Wow- I’m really selling this show… I do love the show and think the pros are amazing.

7. American Idol

American Idol (season 6) - Wikipedia

American Idol is an oldie but a goodie! In my opinion, I think it is the best singing competition show. This past season was loaded with talented young singers. They were incredible, the judges couldn’t even judge them. I will be honest, I never vote and rarely watch it live. But I love seeing the auditions- finale growth these singers make!

8. Bachelor

The Bachelor (American season 16) - Wikipedia

My guilty pleasure-The Bachelor! My co-workers and I breakdown every episode each week. It is so fun to have others to talk to about the show, because my husband won’t watch this show for a split second. I’m sure you can guess what is next… and next…-

9. Bachelorette

The Bachelorette (TV Series 2003– ) - IMDb

An even  better version of the Bachelor… The Bachelorette

10. Bachelor in Paradise

Watch Bachelor in Paradise: Season 7 | Prime Video

My favorite of the Bachelor show is Bachelor in Paradise! It is crazy, action packed, and so entertaining.
