Welcome to my first ever day in the life post.
Disclaimer: I have no idea how to do these types of posts.
This was more tricky than I expected. I tried my best to give the main highlights of the day and not get too caught up in the little details. *Tried*
Here goes nothing…
5:30 Wake Up Call
My alarm went off at 4:50am, but I quickly reset it for 5:30. Here is screenshot proof that I got up at 5:30!
Headed straight to the garage for my workout. Today was a 30 minute full body strength workout. This one to be exact!
Sun was out once I was done, so guns were out too! 🙂
If you remember from my morning routine post, next up is always a latte and my quiet time!
Except for this morning, someone was already in my chair! So I had a snuggle buddy during my quiet time.
Notice the foam rollers.
Today was Day 93 of the Bible Recap for me. I read Judges 10-12. Also, the verse of the day on the bible app was Micah 6:8.
After my quiet time, Madley and I got ourselves ready for the day.
She loved her curls!
After that I made breakfast for the kids and myself. I emptied the dishwasher, loaded the dishwasher, and made water bottles. You know, the normal kitchen stuff.
You’d think this was a pretty good breakfast. Please know the strawberries were “mushy” and the protein shake wasn’t “good like last time.” However, Madley ate her entire plate and then some. Can’t make ‘em all happy.
Momma’s breakfast
After breakfast we headed to VBS!
So many kids, all worshiping Jesus! It brings tears to my eyes every single time.
After drop off, Ruby and I headed to the park for a walk. We listened to my summer playlist for our walk. It was delightful!
We headed back home to write some blog posts for next week!
While the kids were still at VBS, I also folded a load of laundry, cleaned up breakfast, and read a little. I’ll spare you of having to see all that in picture form. You’re welcome.
After I picked the kids up from VBS, we went straight to get haircuts! Sharp looking boys coming right up!
After haircuts we were all starving. Today’s lunch was a free for all. Benny had leftover tortellini, Baker had leftover Make&Bake pizza from Papa Murphy’s, and Madley had a cucumber and a peach. As for me, I had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and protein cookie dough. I may share my recipe for the cookie dough another time. There are a million ways to make it, just google it. But I have tweaked the recipe to my liking. It is very yummy!
After lunch the boys went and played outside for about an hour. Madley watched some baking shows. I used this time to do more blog work.
With baseball games tonight, it was mandatory rest time. So the kids picked the movie HOME to watch. We got comfy and settled in.
During the movie, I cleaned up lunch, called it a day in the blog world, switched the laundry, prepped all the baseball gear, and then snuck in a few minutes of reading.
Around 4:00, madness began! It was the mad dash of eating a substantial snack, getting uniforms on, loading up the car, and heading to the ball fields. When both boys are playing at the same time, it usually doubles the madness.
It was a full evening of ball games, and a team pizza party mixed with team photos. How amazing is this… one family bought pizza for all the boys during their game off and another mom (who is a photographer) brought all her equipment for team pictures/individuals. So gracious! Here are the few pictures I got. Martin went to Benny’s game, so no pictures there.
While all that was going on, I went to my car to charge my phone between games. I am the gamechanger mom, so I had to have some juice in my phone! I may or may not have fallen asleep in the car listening to my audiobook.
Unfortunately, we had to leave early from Baker’s late late game. He had a very upset tummy.
*Luckily, he woke up the next day feeling better. *
We got home, showered, and went straight to bed. Ended the night with an episode of Seinfeld in bed.
And that, my friends, is a day in the life of me! This post was super fun to do, but it was a lot more work than I expected. Goodness. I hope y’all enjoyed it!
See you tomorrow for another Wednesday Wellness! It is about one of my favorite subjects… 🙂
