75 Hard: Part 2 *3 WEEK UPDATE*

We are doing it! We are officially on day 24 of the 75 HARD CHALLENGE! Before I continue, you can read about the challenge and why we started here! Staying humble, you can also read about how I failed the 75 HARD challenge in 2024 here!

Kellie was the only crazy person that reached out after I posted about wanting to try this challenge again. We are crazy together! But honestly, I am so thankful to be doing this challenge with someone this time around. I feel like I would disappoint not only myself if I quit, but Kellie too.

In my opinion, the hardest part of 75 HARD (for me) is the diet. No cheat meals. It is hard to order pizza for your family and you eat some rotisserie chicken instead. I have passed up lots of cookies and ice cream. I am proud of myself, because it was NOT easy!

The gallon of water is easy IF you stay on task with your drinking from the moment you wake up. I have found a pretty good routine with the water. I only made the mistake of forgetting to drink my last 32 oz once. Let’s just say, chugging 32 oz of water right before bed is not ideal for quality sleep.

The two workouts are tough and other days they are easy. I was already in the habit of doing a 30 minute workout in the morning and squeezing in a walk during the day. Now I am just ensuring the workouts and walks are at least 45 minutes each.

I have loved the book I am reading, Atomic Habits by James Clear. I am a nerd when it comes to habits. I love a good habit! This book is very inspiring to help yourself make healthy, positive habits much easier to do and vice versa with negative habits.

The progress pictures are easy and easy to forget. I haven’t forgotten it yet, but I’ve been close a few times. As for seeing a difference in my body composition, I am not sure… maybe.

I want to focus more on my diet in these next few weeks. I want to incorporate more whole foods and less ingredients. I want to make a diet that is not only macro friendly, but tastes great and is sustainable for my whole life.

Kellie and I will continue to both keep plugging along. Track and baseball season are upon us, so we will both have to get creative for some outdoor workouts. But together, we can do it!!
